Ms. Mermaid Fair




"Ms. Mermaid Fair" is a one-of-a-kind collage that I created from one of my original illustrations of a cute mermaid. A high quality print on heavy card stock, she was then cut-out and adhered to a vintage book cover. She has been heavily embellished with vintage buttons, beads, glass pieces and various vintage jewelry pieces. Glitters, paints, rubber stamping and other hand distressing and embellishments have been added as well as a distressed piece of round glass with a vintage illustration of a sailor (or pirate perhaps?) embedded underneath. Ms. Mermaid is viewing him with a little mischief in her eyes....wonder what she is thinking? Feathers, bead trim and Wired ribbon finish the piece. This is a one-of-a-kind collage created from my original illustration and will never be reproduced again in this fashion.
